John KIM

Senior Pastor

John grew up in Los Angeles. He went to UCLA for college and later received his M.Div from Westminster Seminary California. After serving for several years as an assistant pastor in Los Angeles, John and his family moved to China as missionaries through Mission to the World (MTW). In 2015, John was called to start a new campus ministry called Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) in Hawai'i. Then in 2020, John became the new head pastor of City Church Honolulu. Outside of church and spending time with family, John loves his LA sports teams, pickleball, good movies/TV, and a tasty cup of coffee. He also loves SPAM, which was further confirmation that God had called him to minister in Hawai’i!
